Our Story

Ruth Robb created the Ruth Robb Foundation in 1970 to pursue her vision of a world in which the less fortunate in Asia could have access to quality healthcare and education.  She also cared deeply for Asia’s natural environment.  This is a vision that we continue to share today and work tirelessly to promote. Led by CEO Bill Regan since 2008, our mission is to drive truly transformative change in the fields of education, healthcare, and environmental protection in Asia, by supporting the social entrepreneurs who recognize the systems in need of change and then advance social progress by developing powerful models for change that disrupt a suboptimal status quo and transform Asia for the better. By identifying the people and programs already bringing positive change around Asia, we empower them to extend their reach, deepen their impact, and fundamentally improve society on a local to national and ultimately continent wide scale. Since 1970, the Ruth Robb Foundation has led the charge for social change in Asia. Since 1970, The Ruth Robb Foundation has invested more than $2.5 billion in projects across Asia, with a current annual funding of approximately $ 90 million in 36 countries.
